On average 22 US veterans commit suicide a day. The suicide rate for veterans is 1.5 times higher than that of the general population. PTSD is a real thing and it plagues 19% of our veterans. Below are a few warning signs.

• Anger, rage, mood swings, and episodes of anxiety and agitation.
• Expressing feelings of having no reason to live
• Increased alcohol and/or substance abuse.
• Self-destructive and risky behaviors.
• Higher doses of opioid medications for pain control.
• Insomnia.
